where it all started
Christian “Cricky” Muñoz is a New York–based writer, composer, producer, and performer whose work blends contemporary pop music with emotionally driven storytelling. A graduate of Northwest School of the Arts and a former student at Berklee College of Music, he brings a background in musical theatre, music production, and performance to his writing.
Born in California and raised between Arizona and North Carolina, Christian discovered music at an early age, teaching himself piano by ear before formally studying the instrument. His passion for storytelling deepened through musical theatre, where he developed as a performer before ultimately shifting his focus toward writing and composing original work.
Christian began developing Fall From Grace from an idea first shared by his mother. What started as a concept has since evolved into a deeply personal coming-of-age musical exploring identity, pressure, love, and survival. He wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the piece and produced the full instrumental score for its first staged reading in New York City.
As an artist, Christian is drawn to emotionally honest narratives, contemporary pop/rock soundscapes, and characters navigating self-discovery in high-pressure environments. His work aims to bridge the gap between modern pop music and musical theatre, creating stories that resonate with a new generation of audiences and performers.
